NB114 - Bergsfjord
Blasting and painting works on Bergsfjord at Ada Shipyard.
Within NB114 - Bergsfjord, CMS AS provided steel fabrication and assembly to class standards at ADA TERSANESİ. With an experienced engineering team and certified welders, CMS AS safeguarded dimensional accuracy and weld quality across every work item. The balance of time, cost and quality was observed at every stage of the project.
Scope of Work
The engineering and fabrication items undertaken:
- Surface & Coating: Surface preparation (abrasive blasting) and protective coating for corrosion protection.
Engineering & Execution
Engineering, planning and site teams worked in coordination, synchronising the block and outfitting workflow with the shipyard’s master build schedule. Transitions between work items were planned with site safety and efficiency in mind. Coordination between workshop and site teams kept the work items progressing without interruption and safely.
Standards & Quality Assurance
All fabrication processes were performed under approved procedures and class-society survey. Surface preparation was to ISO 8501-1 (Sa 2½) cleanliness and the protective coating applied to an ISO 12944 system.
As a result, a robust steel structure that will add value for years was delivered. The project was thus completed in line with budget and schedule targets. The experience CMS AS has accumulated in shipbuilding and industrial steel since 1990 makes it a trusted solution partner for shipyards.
