Santa Rosa
Pipe fabrication works on Santa Rosa at GEMAK shipyard.
On the Santa Rosa project, CMS AS delivered the steel fabrication, outfitting and assembly scope with a turnkey approach at GEMAK. From cutting and welding to outfitting and surface treatment, CMS AS delivered an integrated, single-source solution for the project. The balance of time, cost and quality was observed at every stage of the project.
Scope of Work
The principal works carried out by CMS AS on this project:
- Piping: Pipe-spool fabrication, prefabrication to isometric drawings and onboard installation.
Engineering & Execution
Approved production drawings and cutting plans were prepared before fabrication, and material traceability, dimensional control and weld inspections were recorded throughout the process. Transitions between work items were planned with site safety and efficiency in mind. Critical joints were verified by non-destructive testing (NDT) and dimensional deviations were kept within tolerance.
Standards & Quality Assurance
Every stage was carried out under the CMS AS quality-management system and the supervision of the relevant class society. Piping and outfitting systems were handed over after pressure testing and functional checks.
As a result, a robust steel structure that will add value for years was delivered. The project was thus completed in line with budget and schedule targets. The experience CMS AS has accumulated in shipbuilding and industrial steel since 1990 makes it a trusted solution partner for shipyards.
